8/8/2023 0 Comments Go fish poke menuIt became a playground of flavors instead of a simple, fresh snack. Maybe I'm more of a purist, but I felt like the customizations and add-ins actually took away from the taste of the fish itself and the purity of a poke bowl. ![]() Finally, for the multitude of toppings, I got masago, avocado, furikake, and spicy crab. I had the salad base, and actually was wishing there was more leaves with the bowl - it was very protein heavy and lacking in the base. ![]() All were pretty good next time, I'd probably opt for another cubed fish instead of the spicy tuna. I got the regular size (3 scoops) and went with ahi poke, spicy tuna, and salmon. The fish itself was generous portions and fresh. That said, I had a stomach ache the rest. They all seem to be doing the Chipotle-style customized poke bowls, which I am all for. With the poke revolution happening all over California, it's hard to know what's a good spot or not. But I look forward to coming back for some more Poke More Unfortunately I was stuffed from the bowl so couldn't indulge. They also have several drinks that you can choose from as well as macaroons for dessert. If I ordered again, I would take it home and dump it all onto a plate. Maybe some pre-mixing or a shallower and longer plate would be better. My main gripe with the bowl is that they layer so many things on the rice or noodles, it's hard to make one bite that combines the rice and fish into one great bite. The restaurant is super clean and the staff is pretty patient as you decide all of the different options. And then you can customize the taste with different sauces and toppings like seaweed, tempura flakes, masago, etc. is under a case but it looks very fresh and doesn't look like it's been sitting for a while. You get your choice of base (rice, noodles) with vegetables, toppings and your choice of multiple scoops of 5 different kinds of fish (salmon, yellowtail, Poke, shrimp, tuna). The restaurant is basically the chipotle of Poke.
